After the pionneers: Professionalising and harmonising open data initiatives.
During the four last years, pioneers have launched initiatives for open data. But after first successes, we are now facing new open data challenges: improving data offer, developping data reuse, involving more and more people, opening data with more efficiency and going beyond short-term events to develop long-term animations.
This conference, organized under the Homer project, will focus on three upcoming key challenges for the open data movement:
- Discoverability and interoperability: How to find and discover new data? Will my project be able to work on other territories?
- Good practices for long term animations: Is there a life after hackathons? App contests and what else?
- Enhancing data reuse through standardization: How to harmonize data formats at international level? How to simplify legal policies?
